Hi, I’m Tim—I have a deep passion for creating and sharing unforgettable meals.​

Growing up in England, I had little understanding or appreciation for great cuisine. But everything changed when I moved to Canada at the age of eight. At the time, I didn’t realize it, but my journey into the world of food had begun.
Discovering pizza and spaghetti was a game-changer compared to the overcooked cauliflower I was used to! Fortunately, my incredible mother embraced Canada’s diverse food culture and encouraged my brother and me to explore new flavors. I’ll always be grateful for that.
My Story
Fast forward to my late twenties, and my career in international business took me to over 85 countries. This experience allowed me to indulge in extraordinary cuisine—from savoring street food in Malaysia to dining at Michelin-starred restaurants in France and Mexico. I’ve eaten in over 10,000 restaurants, experiencing both unforgettable meals and a few I’d rather forget!

Inspired by my travels, I often tried to recreate standout dishes when I returned home. Many times, I had the privilege of speaking with chefs and locals, learning about their ingredients and culinary techniques firsthand.
Despite my extensive travels, cooking for my family has always remained a priority. Like any parent, I faced the daily challenge of preparing healthy, delicious meals amidst the chaos of school, sports, and homework.
For eight years, I was a caregiver to my terminally ill parents, preparing countless meals for them as their ability to cook declined. Those moments—sharing great food and seeing their smiles—are ones my family and I will always cherish.

Over time, friends and family began asking for my recipes, but many of my dishes were created by instinct rather than strict measurements. I’ve developed an ability to read a recipe and instinctively know whether it will work or if it needs a tweak to go from good to great.

That’s why I started this website—Season It Up to document and share my go-to meals, tested and loved by friends and family. My recipes will highlight global cuisine, inspired by my travels and love for international flavors. Whether you’re looking for comforting home-cooked meals, exciting new dishes, or quick weeknight solutions, you’ll find something here to inspire your own culinary journey.

I only publish recipes that I would proudly serve to my family and friends time and time again—each one personally vetted for quality. With so many recipes out there, my goal is to filter through the noise and share only the very best, ensuring every dish is truly worth making.

Our planet is an incredible place, abundant with diverse ingredients, and I consider it a privilege to explore the flavors the land and sea have to offer.
